i’m not happy where i am…i’ve established that. when i’m around certain environments, cultures, and people, i feel more interesting. when i’m sitting around a bar at home…i have 0 to talk about.
if i flee america, and go abroad, will i feel better? is this the same funk i experienced at the end of college? does my personality just lead me to misery, or, can i count on travelling to open me up?

go. right now. it is cheap. right now. You will see that there are a zillion other choices. a million alternative ways of seeing. Spend a year looking at life from different angles, in a way sticking in the US simply can’t offer.

there are ways to make connections…utilize what is at hand…

it seems to me that it is in your bones to travel. you have the mind and appetite for diversity, for exploration, discovery.
besides, look at the america in which you are living! go away because upon your return, this bastard behemoth will still be waiting for you
